BUCEC, Certificate in Project Management
David Belliveau is no stranger to the project management field. He got his first taste of the profession in the late 80s when he got the opportunity to take an entry-level project management job. After working in project management at that company for about 10 years, he worked with some small companies before becoming a consultant. When hard economic times hit, he decided it was time for more education. “Given all the experience that I had in project management, I thought it was smart to get my PMP certification since it is the gold standard for the industry,” he said.
After researching how to obtain certification, he found that the BUCEC project management curriculum looked interesting and offered what he needed, both in terms of education and money. “It was a comprehensive course with payment terms that met my educational and financial needs,” he said.
With opportunities on the horizon, he wanted to complete the course as quickly as possible. Studying all day, seven days a week, he completed the program in just seven weeks and passed the PMP exam two weeks after completing the coursework. “The program was very detailed and comprehensive. It prepared me very well for the PMP exam. I have my MBA, and the PMP exam is, by far, the most difficult and stressful exam I’ve ever taken. I couldn’t have been more prepared. The course went over and above, providing additional knowledge. It gave me what I needed to pass the exam and more. I could not have passed the PMP exam otherwise,” he said.
Having his PMP certification has opened many doors for interviews and consulting opportunities. “I tell anybody I talk to that if they apply themselves to this program, they will have all they need to pass the exam. Don’t take a chance on something else. In my experience, this course is tried and tested. I highly recommend this course for anyone who is serious about pursuing PMP certification. It is a significant and rigorous effort but well worth the time invested,” he said.
