What to Expect When You Take Your Online Exam from
The College Network®

The College Network’s online exams give you the convenience and flexibility to take your test from the comfort of your home or anywhere you have access to a computer with a webcam and high-speed Internet.  Your online exam will be administered by a skilled proctor who will help you get set up and learn about your test. 

You can schedule exams at a time and date that fits with your schedule. When you log in to take your TCN exam, your proctor will work with you to ensure that your webcam is working properly and that you are ready to take your exam. Your proctor will verify your ID to make sure that you don’t have access to anything that could help you with the exam.

To perform your best on your exam, we suggest the following tips:

• Test your computer before your scheduled date at http://www.proctoru.com/testitout. Testing your computer only takes 2-3 minutes and this will save you time on your exam date.
• Choose an exam date when you know you will be free of distractions and able to concentrate on the exam.
• Choose an exam time when you are at your best. For example, if you are a morning or an evening person, keep that in mind when scheduling your exam.
• Choose a place to take your exam where you will be free from distractions.
• Have your photo ID ready when you start your exam.
• Don’t bring calculators, scratch paper, etc. unless your exam specifically allows these items.
• Pace yourself. The amount of time remaining will always be shown at the top of your screen. If you are unsure of a question, you can mark it for review at the end of the exam before you submit your final answers.
• Remember to submit your answers. When you have answered all the questions, you will be prompted to submit your final answers. If your exam does not have an essay, your results will be shown immediately. Your proctor will allow you to print your results which will include feedback regarding how you did on each learning objective of the module.
