“I love doing nice things for people and making people feel good and smile,” Dana Long said of her decision to become a nurse. She’s been a nurse for eight years and loves every day.

Dana earned her associate’s degree with the help of The College Network® before returning to earn her master’s degree. “I wanted a better life for me and my family. I am very career oriented, and it made sense not to limit myself,” Dana said. “I am so spoiled by the Comprehensive Learning Modules that once I decided to come back for my master’s, there was no question about using The College Network.”

“I like the ease of studying. It seemed as if The College Network wanted me to succeed as much as I did,” Dana Long said of her experience. “Just the improvements made since I first signed up are amazing! I can’t believe it’s possible, but now studying is even easier online.”

Dana and her sister went through the whole program together. “It was such a tremendous help to have someone to push me through on those days when I felt like doing nothing at all,” she said. “We found we were strong and weak in opposite areas, so that helped with studying. We could always put it into a perspective the other one had not thought of before. It was nice having someone who knew exactly what I was going through.”

“Never give up on a dream,” Dana said when asked what her advice was to other students. “Don’t let laziness get in the way. Graduation can come as slowly or as quickly as you want it to.
