Carole Beloma enjoyed her career in the legal field, but she knew that furthering her education would have a great impact on her future in the industry. She works in the legal department for a large, well known corporation and saw a potential for advancement within her job, so Carole enrolled in Boston University’s Paralegal Certificate program with help from The College Network®.

As a busy, fulltime employee, a distance learning program was ideal for Carole. She chose the Boston University Paralegal Certificate program because of fairness of price, online capability, flexible hours and courteous personnel.

“Everyone I talked to was so courteous and helpful that it made my experience seamless. It was so easy to call and send and answer e-mails with all who were involved. It was a pleasure,” Carole said of her interaction with The College Network staff.

When asked what she liked most about the paralegal certificate program, Carole’s response was “The ease of accessibility and the instructors and advisors were so accommodating.”

Carole says the program was challenging, but she embraced the opportunity because it was very fulfilling to be an adult learner. “I devoted time to study at the same time each night and did my class work and system searches after work and during my lunch breaks,” she said. “I loved the challenge of these courses and am happy that I succeeded with this goal.”

Carole’s paralegal certificate from Boston University has helped her take on more responsibility for projects and the distribution and identification of legal documents in her current professional role. She plans to use her certificate, even after retiring from her current position, to continue working part time in the legal field.
