Regina M. Kerley MSN, RN-BC
Brigantine, NJ
Regis University, Master of Science in Nursing

With her entire family studying, Regina Kerley made the decision to earn her master’s degree. “It was time to follow through on a promise I’d made to myself. My husband was working on his undergraduate degree, my daughter was working on her graduate degrees and my son was finishing high school,” she said. “We had a lot of computers going in the house!”

The College Network®’s program was a perfect fit for Regina. “The staff was wonderful to work with. The Comprehensive Learning Modules™ were time saving and allowed me to get my feet wet before jumping in full force. The online Resource Center was easy to access,” she said. “It worked for me.”

For those considering the program, Regina has some advice. “Make the time to do it and make it a priority. You have to be organized and committed. Having the support of your family is a big plus,” she said. “I would say, ‘I’m going to class,’ so that they would know not to bother me.”

Regina attended graduation at Regis University. “I met some of the women I’d been in school with for almost the whole program,” she said. “I didn’t really remember my undergraduate graduation, so it was really nice. It was a proud moment for my family.”

Currently, Regina is working in the same position she had before earning her master’s degree, and she enjoys using her new skills to participate in tasks such as conducting orientation for new nurses. “I want to teach nursing students one day,” she said. “I feel more accomplished now and know I have the confidence and ability to earn another advanced degree if I choose to.”
